Why does Road Passport need location "all the time"?

So it can collect stamps while the app is closed. You never need to open it while driving. Location is processed in the car, and only the region, day, distance and driving time are stored. See the privacy policy.

What happens if location is off?

No stamps are collected while location is off or the permission is missing, and the app shows a notification about it. Turn location back on and collecting starts again. Regions you drove through in the meantime are not stamped.

Which regions are covered?

Version 1.0 covers 1148 regions in Europe, Türkiye and Cyprus: provinces, states, départements and similar areas, based on Natural Earth boundaries. City stamps are planned for a later version.

Why didn't I get a stamp?

A region is stamped after you drive about 2 km inside it, or when you park there, so a quick pass over a corner may not count. Near borders, boundaries are accurate to about 1 km. Also check that location is on and that Road Passport has location permission "all the time". New stamps appear in the passport book and are shown when you park.

How do I delete my data?

In the app, open Settings and choose "Delete all stamps". This deletes every stamp, visit day and distance and cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app also deletes all of its data.
